Card tokenization
Safeguard debit and credit card data with our PCI-compliant tokenization technology
What is tokenization?
Card tokenization is the process of removing debit, credit or purchasing card data from a company’s internal network and replaces the sensitive data (such as the 16-digit card number) with a surrogate value called a token. The token is unique to the tokenized card and the secure Adflex card vault, which will reduce your PCI DSS scope. Furthermore, Adflex tokenization can provide a frictionless payment experience for returning customers by storing their 'Card on File’ (CoF).
Tokenization vs encryption
Both tokenization and encryption are used to reduce PCI scope. However, tokenization is fast emerging as a more secure and cost-effective method for protecting confidential information. Through tokenization, no sensitive card data can be stolen in the event of a data breach, and unlike encrypting data on your internal network, tokens are not mathematically reversible with a decryption key.
PCI compliance
The key goal is to reduce the risks associated with taking payments, and the failure to protect debit, credit or purchasing card data can lead to fraud, financial penalties and the loss of reputation. Integrating Adflex tokenization can significantly reduce your costs and effort to maintain PCI-DSS compliance, as sensitive data is removed from your database to our secure card vault.
